Clue #12 - 4th edge - 6 rounds with easy techniques

It's time for the 4th edge on our blanket, which consists of 6 rounds using easy and well known crochet techniques, resulting in the most pretty stripes - enjoy!

ROUND 1: Switch to turquoise (no 18), and work 1 ch (= 1st st), 1 dc around next st, * 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc in/around next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. READ CROCHET TIP-1.

CROCHET TIP-1: Do not work too tight on round with 1 dc + 1 ch.

Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 dc in next st.

Complete description of round 1:

ROUND 1: Switch to turquoise (no 18), and work 1 ch (= 1st st), 1 dc around next st, * 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc in/around next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 dc in next st. READ CROCHET TIP-1. Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st st at beg of round. = 332 dc, 320 ch (97 dc and 94 ch on each long side and 69 dc and 66 ch on each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces in each corner.

Complete description of round 2:

ROUND 2: Work 1 ch (= 1st dc), * 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc in/around next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 dc in next st. READ CROCHET TIP-1. Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st st at beg of round. = 336 dc, 324 ch (98 dc and 95 ch on each long side and 70 dc and 67 ch on each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces in each corner.

ROUND 3: Work as 1st round = 340 dc, 328 ch (99 dc and 96 ch on each long side, 71 dc and 68 ch on each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces.

ROUND 4:

Switch to pink (no 15). Read COLOUR CHANGE and work 1 ch, * 1 ch (= 1st st), skip next st, 1 dc in next dc from 2nd round, 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc around next ch from 3rd round *, repeat *-* the entire round but finish as follows in each side: 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc in next st.

COLOUR CHANGE:

When changing colour work as follows: Before last pull through of last loop on hook, switch colour, pull the last loop on hook through with the new colour.

Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 dc in next st.

Complete description of round 4:

ROUND 4:

Switch to pink (no 15) and work 1 ch, * 1 ch (= 1st st), skip next st, 1 dc in next dc from 2nd round, 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc around next ch from 3rd round *, repeat *-* the entire round but finish as follows in each side: 1 ch, skip next st, 1 dc in next st. Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 dc in next dc. Finish with 1 dc around sl st from 3rd round = 344 dc, 332 ch (96 dc in/around ch from round 2 and 3, 4 dc and 97 ch on each long side. 68 dc in/around ch from round 2 and 3, 4 dc and 69 ch on each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces in each corner.

ROUND 5:

Work 1 sl st around 1st ch from previous round. Work 2 ch (= 1st htr), 1 htr around same ch. Work 2 htr around every ch from previous round BUT inc 1 htr in each side, in the middle of the sides (= 4 inc sts on round).

In ch-space in each corner work as follows: 1 htr, 3 ch, 1 htr, BUT work 1 htr in each of the last 2 and the first 2 dc on each side of each corner the entire round.

Complete description of round 5:

ROUND 5:

Work 1 sl st around 1st ch from previous round. Work 2 ch (= 1st htr), 1 htr around same ch. Work 2 htr around every ch from previous round BUT inc 1 htr in each side, in the middle of the sides (= 4 inc sts on round). In ch-space in each corner work as follows: 1 htr, 3 ch, 1 htr, BUT work 1 htr in each of the last 2 and the first 2 dc on each side of each corner the entire round. Finish round with 1 sl st in 2nd ch on round. = 692 htr (201 htr on each long side and 145 htr in each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces in each corner. READ COLOUR CHANGE!

ROUND 6: Switch to white (no 01), and work 1 ch (= 1st dc), 1 ch, skip next st, * 1 dc in next st, 1 ch, skip next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. READ CROCHET TIP-1.

Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 ch, skip next st.

Complete description of round 6:

ROUND 6: Switch to white (no 01), and work 1 ch (= 1st dc), 1 ch, skip next st, * 1 dc in next st, 1 ch, skip next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Work as follows in ch-space in the corners: 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 dc and 1 ch, skip next st. READ CROCHET TIP-1. Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st st at beg of round at the same time change to light turquoise (no. 19) = 352 dc, 348 ch (102 dc and 101 ch on each long side and 74 dc and 73 ch on each short side) and 4 3-ch-spaces in each corner. READ COLOUR CHANGE! Do not cut the white yarn (no 01) but fasten the other strands. No of sts on each side should be divisible by 8 + 3.

IMPORTANT: The pictures and the video show an example where we crochet the edge around 1 single square. You need to crochet this 4th edge around the whole blanket (40 squares).

Må være noe feil I oppskriften. På 4.omg står det at du skal ha totalt 344 fastmasker. Og så at det skal være 96 fastmasker på hver av langsiden og 68 på hver kortside. MEN dette blir bare 328 fastmasker tilsammen?? Hva er riktig

Bonjour Isabelle, probablement - pensez à bien ajuster le nbe de mailles du tour 6 pour qu'il soit bien divisible par 8 + 3. Bon crochet!
